    We are currently recruiting for a strategic and tactical Head of Operations with a proven track record in managing complex operations within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating strong leadership skills, strategic vision and a commitment to operational efficiency.

    The Head of Operations will lead the Production, Installation, Project Management, SHEQ, Aftersales and Stores teams. You will be a key member of the Kiverco Leadership Team, formulating strategic plans, delivering goals and facilitating growth.

    About The Role

    Key activities:


    • Operational Strategy: supervise the efficient functioning of the entire operations department. Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives, ensuring efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness in all operations.


    • Process Optimisation: identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation across all operational functions, driving efficiency gains and enhancing productivity. Implement and enhance best practices such as Lean, TPM, Continuous Improvement, problem solving etc.


    • Resource Management: oversee resource allocation, including workforce, equipment and materials, to ensure optimal utilisation and alignment with project requirements.


    • Quality Assurance: establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to uphold the highest standards of product and service quality, complying with industry regulations and client specifications.


    • Project Management: collaborate closely with project managers to ensure seamless project execution, timely delivery and effective resource allocation to meet project goals and deadlines.


    • Budget Management: manage operational budgets effectively, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures, while ensuring operational excellence and adherence to financial targets.


    • Risk Management: identify and mitigate operational risks proactively, implementing robust contingency plans to minimise disruptions and ensure business continuity. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards, including overseeing audit processes.


    • Health & Safety: advocate for health & safety initiatives pertaining to engineering activities, engaging with stakeholders throughout the site.


    • Team Leadership: provide strong leadership and direction to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement to drive employee engagement and performance. Encourage participation in cross-functional teams and company-wide initiatives.


    • Stakeholder Engagement: cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers and regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment of operational activities with organisational goals and objectives.


    • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPI's) to measure operational performance, monitor progress against targets and provide regular reports and insights to senior management.

    What are we looking for?


    • Third Level Qualification in an engineering or closely related discipline.


    • Proven experience in an operational leadership role, with a minimum of 5 years' experience managing medium to large teams.


    • Strong understanding of engineering principles, processes and best practices, with the ability to translate technical requirements into operational strategies.


    • Exceptional leadership and management skills, including the ability to mentor, support and foster team development.


    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.


    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including customers, suppliers and team members.


    • Proficiency in contemporary engineering CAD software and manufacturing techniques; familiarity with Solidworks is an advantage. Prior experience with ERP system implementation is preferred, together with a proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.


    • Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards and compliance requirements in the engineering sector.
