    Our client, an insurer in the Lloyds London Market is seeking a Controls and Operations analyst to support the Controls and Data Assurance (CDA) Manager by:

    • Monitoring, maintaining, and improving the company's internal controls framework in accordance with management and regulatory requirements
    • Improving operational effectiveness and efficiency through the delivery of best practice process standards and continuous key process improvement

    Your main duties will include:

    • Participate in risk-based scoping, mapping, documentation, control evaluations, gap remediation and regular (quarterly) certifications / attestations and testing as part of the internal control and data quality (DQ) framework
    • Ensure key controls are designed and operating effectively throughout the year.
    • Work with the business areas to identify new and changed processes impacting compliance / consult over new processes to be implemented, and ensure that new controls and datasets are identified, documented and evaluated in a timely manner
    • Maintain the process framework (comprising of a central process library with departmental process maps, procedures and policies, together with cycle documentation detailing key cross departmental data flows & controls)
    • Support and enable improvement initiatives
    • Prepare reporting to key audiences, including Governance committees
    • Support the team performing governance activities for the Sourcing function and monitoring of SLAs
    • To collate, review, maintain and update as required, key process timetables

    About you:

    • You will have professional experience in a controls / regulatory / audit role and you will have Insurance & ideally, Lloyds Market experience
    • Financial Services experience is important for this role as is auditing or accounting or controls / process experience.
    • You will have highly developed numerical skills and advanced knowledge of MS Excel
    • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and Solvency II, financial reporting would be desirable as is knowledge of IT controls and best practices and intermediate knowledge of MS Visio and experience of process mapping
