Role Description:


Execute data audits whereby:

  • Direct system access will be obtained and data analytics will be carried out to assess data completeness, accuracy, timeliness etc
  • Regulatory report completeness and accuracy will be reviewed and data lineage traced to source documents
  • Governance aspects of data oversight will be part of the audit scope
  • On occasion may be required support technology audits more broadly and review technology controls

The Team:

The EMEA data team has been developing since 2019. It currently consists of 3 people (2 auditors and an audit director) all located in London.

There is a highly collaborative environment with excellent relationships across the team and the wider technologyaudit team (all rolling up under the same senior audit director).

Working as part of this team will entail supporting LOB audits and will grant immediate exposure to senior stakeholders of the audit department as well as the line of business audited.

Significant development opportunities are provided for team members to enhance their data skills by learning and improving both technical and soft skills including Alteryx, Python, SQL, DAMA, etc.

The team has managed to build its reputation in the last 3 years and its vision is to continue building its capability and adding value to the audit process.


Key skills:


  • Have strong data analytics skills including use of at least one of the following
  • Alteryx, Python or SQL
  • Understand key concepts of data management
  • Have a solid understanding of financial services and key aspects of a global financial institution and the services it offers.
  • Have experience in a risk function (preferably internal or external audit)
  • Be able to work independently as well as a member of wider team
  • Be a team player

Preferred:


  • Technology audit experience
