    Description

    This position involves taking the lead in environmental, health, safety, security, and facilities management at the site. The successful candidate will oversee EHS activities, set objectives and targets, report on performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and make documentation available in local languages. Responsibilities also include maintaining ISO/OHSAS certifications, accurate EHS reporting, addressing audit findings promptly, providing EHS training, managing public and regulatory interactions during crises, ensuring site security, and nurturing a strong EHS culture among employees. Additionally, the role encompasses managing all facilities functions to achieve world-class standards aligned with company objectives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Direct and manage the site to achieve EHS targets and objectives, supporting corporate and business group initiatives.
    • Conduct risk assessments to identify critical EHS hazards and collaborate with leadership to mitigate risks and environmental impacts.
    • Establish leading and lagging indicators to track performance against targets.
    • Assist in setting EHS goals for site management and teams to promote compliance and performance.
    • Support the appointment of MESH element champions and foster their engagement in MESH ownership.
    • Promote a zero-incident EHS culture and engage employees through teams and committees.
    • Conduct annual evaluations of EHS compliance with regulations alongside leadership and MESH element champions.
    • Seek third-party recognition for programs to establish the site and clients EHS program as world-class.
    • Utilize established EHS data processes to manage information effectively.
    • Develop training matrices to ensure completion of all required training.
    • Collaborate with site leadership and facilities to implement key EHS controls and resolve issues promptly.

    Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with client, industry, state, and country EHS requirements.
    • Strong team-building and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage conflicts effectively.
    • Proficient in leading and supporting cross-functional EHS teams.
    • Over 5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety management, with expertise in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or environmental disciplines.
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
    • Professional certification recommended (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist).
