    Description

    We are seeking a hardworking, reliable person who will take pride in cleaning our school to ensure a safe and welcoming learning environment for our students and staff. You will be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative, comfortable working alone and taking responsibility for ensuring all school buildings are secured and locked at the end of each day at the weekend.

    Main Tasks:

    · Carrying out daily cleaning tasks as defined by the Cleaner Supervisor & Site Manager, including cleaning staff and student toilets, sweep/mop floors, hoovering, wiping surfaces, cleaning kitchens and all classrooms.

    · To provide additional assistance as reasonably directed by the Facilities Manager.

    · Where applicable and as directed, to unlock and open or lock and secure the school buildings including the security alarms at times reasonably directed by the Facilities Manager.

    · To ensure the safe custody of all the keys and codes for which responsible.

    · To ensure the school hirers have access to their booked facilities at the correct time.

    · Please note the role can be physically demanding

    Working time:

    The post-holder will be required to work Saturday & Sunday, for 18 hours starting at 14:00 - 22:00 to include half an hour unpaid break. You are entitled to 23 days holiday (pro rata'd) and holidays must be taken in the school holidays outside of the deep cleaning schedule.

    Required skills & experience:

    · Cleaning experience is desired but not essential as training will be provided

  • An effective communicator.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Displays a commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people.
  • Is able to plan time effectively and be well organised.
  • Is flexible and resilient and able to adapt quickly to new environments and challenges.
  • Is reliable and trustworthy, and able to work effectively with limited supervision.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is a requirement. Required skills & experience
