Description
The Accounts Assistant position involves managing both client and office accounts within a legal setting. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payment of invoices.Key Responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant
To provide and maintain accurate client and office account records as a legal cashier.
Process daily banking, office and client transfers, cheque processing, petty cash, and bank reconciliations.
Inputting of transactions and account movements on system and updating ledgers using accounting management software, Leap & Xero.
Identifying and implementing training needs and requirements
Building and maintaining good working relationships with Partners, Fee earners, PA's, and reception
Any other activities which assist financial operations within the firm
Key Competencies of an Accounts Assistant
Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules- This can be learnt on the Job with Training
