    Location: A state-of-the-art office in the vibrant centre of Belfast, opening its doors for the first time in a couple of weeks

    Role: Junior Software Engineer

    Your Mission Should You Choose to Accept:

    • Spearhead strategic greenfield and brownfield projects within Prime Brokerage, alongside Business as Usual (BAU) requests.
    • Advocate for and implement enhancements to our development processes.
    • Provide expert troubleshooting for production system issues.
    • Ensure the continued maintenance and upgrading of our software systems.
    • Collaborate seamlessly across teams to secure or resolve dependencies efficiently.

    Your Experience:

    • A minimum of 3 years in the software development trenches.
    • A strong command of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
    • Proficiency in Java, SQL Server, Postgres, Spring, and Docker.
    • A wizard in GitLab source control, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
    • Familiarity with digital assets, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) would give you an edge.

    Bonus Experience:

    • A background in financial services and understanding of the trade lifecycle will be highly advantageous.
    • Experience with cloud technologies, deployment strategies, and any PostgreSQL/Sybase knowledge is a bonus.
    • Experience in Unix shell scripting and messaging systems like Kafka, JMS, and Solace.
