The Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in promoting positive behavior and creating a safe and inclusive atmosphere within the school community


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Mentoring and providing guidance to students who require additional support in managing their behavior and emotions.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop individualized behavior plans for students.
  • Implementing strategies and interventions to address challenging behavior, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Providing group and oneonone mentoring sessions, helping students develop social skills and improve their overall wellbeing.
  • Tracking and monitoring student progress, providing feedback to teachers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with the school's pastoral team to implement wholeschool behavior initiatives and policies.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge and understanding of behavior management strategies and interventions.
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the overall school community.
