Position Summary


This position is responsible for the Warehouse, incoming goods receiving & storage, preparing & booking outgoing shipment requests with the courier.

Also providing kitted materials to the production floor for assembly in line with the production schedule.


Key Duties & Responsibilities**- Deliveries are signed upon receipt, packages are unloaded from incoming trucks, and contents are inspected to ensure they're not damaged.

  • Shipments outbound, Pallets to be secured and labelled with all correct information
  • Overseeing logistics of receiving, warehousing and dispatch operations, including booking collections with the courier and attaching the relevant documents to the shipment
  • Experience in preparing customs & shipping paperwork and working with harmonized codes, tariffs codes for goods etc and experience in packing goods for Air, Road & sea shipping.
  • The warehouse operator is expected to regularly check inventory levels and feedback on any stock below certain levels or any discrepancies working with Fishbowl.
  • Execute materials picking plans on our MRP system (Fishbowl) to meet kitting needs, and update smartsheet.
  • Goods receiving via our MRP system (Fishbowl, Printing picklists, Kits etc, and Movement of inventory within Fishbowl regarding NCR's and quarantine
  • Warehouse operators must always adhere to relevant health and safety rules and regulations. This includes wearing protective clothing and operating tools and machinery safely according to company protocol.
  • Worked to shipping schedule, ensuring orders are shipped when required.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy activities such as Weekly/Monthly cycle counts & oversee the Main Stock checks working with our MRP system (Fishbowl)
  • Recommend improvements to enable operational efficiency.
  • Clean the work area, including the warehouse, at the end of the working day.
  • Setup work area daily for Production
  • Must adhere to Current Health QMS system.
  • Must be able to follow kitting instructions.
  • Quality documentation to be followed to verify kits are accurate and correct.
  • Support Logistics team with order preparation and kitting as and when required.

Requirements:


Essential Requirements, Qualifications & Experience

  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards for quality control
  • Relationship building and networking skills.
  • An understanding of supply chain management and logistics
  • Experience of working with Logistics Courier booking shipment requests
  • Experience of working in a fast pace demanding environment
  • Excellent computer skills and strong knowledge of spreadsheets, presentation software and other Planning management software systems (ERP, MRP, IMS).
  • Good Knowledge of day to day running within a stores and production environment.
  • Hold a Forklift truck licence preferred but not essential as training will be given.
  • Experience of Liaising with Logistics & Courier partners in shipments for both UK & Rest of the world
