    Assistant Manager - Internal Audit

    Hunter Savage is currently representing a successful and well established Accountancy Practice in Belfast. Our client is currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager within Internal Audit to join their team.

    This is an exciting and varied opportunity that will involve working with the Director to deliver and develop out internal audit service to a range of clients.

    The Role:

    • Prepare strategic internal audit plans.
    • Liaise with clients to schedule internal audit engagements.
    • Draft terms of reference for individual engagements.
    • Oversee and carry out internal audit fieldwork.
    • Discuss and agree findings with clients.
    • Draft internal audit reports for review by the Senior Manager.
    • Where appropriate, attend Audit Committee meetings.
    • Supervise, train, and develop junior Internal Audit staff.
    • Proactively seek opportunities to develop for our internal audit service.
    • Draft tenders for potential internal audit engagements.

    The Person:

    • Qualified Accountant and/or Chartered Internal Auditor
    • Experience in carrying out internal audit work
    • Knowledge of risk based auditing and International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) for internal audit
