Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Support Specialist with strong expertise in Microsoft Project to assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of various projects for our client within the Water Industry.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Scheduling:


  • Assist in developing detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables using Microsoft Project.
  • Maintain and update project schedules, ensuring all tasks and activities are accurately tracked.
  • Coordinate with project managers to align project objectives and ensure adherence to project plans.

Data Analysis and Reporting:


  • Collect and analyze project data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide stakeholders with insights into project status, progress, and performance metrics.
  • Utilize forecasting techniques to predict project outcomes and resource requirements.

Resource Management:


  • Assist in the allocation and management of project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Monitor resource utilization and provide recommendations for optimizing resource allocation.

Documentation and Communication:


  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, status reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders, ensuring information is accurately conveyed and documented.
  • Support the organization and coordination of project meetings, workshops, and presentations.

Administrative Support:


  • Provide general administrative support to the project management team, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and organizing project files.
  • Assist in the procurement and management of projectrelated materials and services.

Qualifications:

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience:


  • Minimum of 24 years of experience in a project support or project coordination role.
  • Proven experience using Microsoft Project for project scheduling and management.

Technical Skills:


  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., JIRA, Asana) is a plus.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detailoriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in data analysis and forecasting within a project management context.

Working Conditions:


  • Officebased
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Job Type:
Temporary contract

Contract length: 6 months


Pay:
From £26,000.00 per year
