Description
We Support LTD is an established Supported Living provider across Cheshire and Trafford. We support young adults with learning disabilities, using a Positive Behaviour Support Approach. All of our services are 24 hours support services where staff will work with the same person/people each week in the same house in order to build a strong, trusting and caring relationship. **We are not a domicilairy care company. Employees will generally work at one location and do not do "house visits" traveling between services*Our work environment includes:
Duties:
- provide additional support in the running of the service to the deputy manager and registered manager. Including, quality assurance and mentoring the staff team. This is an on-shift role. on shift duties involve;
- Provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining independent living skills
- Create and implement individualized support plans based on the needs and goals of each individual
- Promote a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure the well-being of the individuals
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Empathy and compassion for individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of individuals
- Patience and understanding in challenging situations
