  • AD1356We are seeking an experienced academic with an interest in online course delivery to be the Programme Leader for our online postgraduate course: MA Film Practice. As Programme Leader, the postholder will be responsible for academic quality across the online course, ensuring each module meets the academic regulations of the University and the curriculum is of a high standard. The postholder will also act as Module Leader for the running and/or development of at least the first module for the course, planning and developing academic module content in line with the production schedule.

As Programme Leader, the postholder will work collaboratively with CEG Digital, working with the Head of Production Management, University Partnership Director, and Course Officer - to drive the recruitment of students, adopt module leadership duties, and execute the delivery of the course.

The Programme Leader will make admissions selection decisions, and undertake the day-to-day management of Module Leaders, who are responsible for the planning and development of academic taught module content.

The Programme Leader will also be a supervisor to students studying on the final MA course modules.

As our online Programme Leaders assume to role of Module Leader at times, this will involve teaching the module online as lead academic, steering a module through its course, requesting any required adjustments to student deadlines within the VLE, summarising topics, setting assessments and second marking/moderation in line with institutional guidelines.

Additionally, the PL would provide guidance to Module Tutors on day-to-day learning activities - how to moderate discussions, facilitate learning activities, provide student feedback, first mark assessed elements and liaise regularly with Tutors to receive feedback from them on the progression of the module.
