£77-96 p/d (DOE)


The School/role:


We are currently looking for a qualified Teaching Assistant to take on a long-term position working one-to-one with a SEN child within our mainstream setting.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for working closely with a child in the school, supporting their learning, behaviour and development.

We are looking for a dedicated teaching assistant to build a positive relationship with a child in the setting, following their EHCP and being a positive role model in the school to guide them.

The child has ASD and due to frustration can display behavioural needs.

In this role you will be working with the child 1:1, but supported by the class teacher, SENCO and other professionals.


Ofsted rated "Good" school in Aldridge who are dedicated to supporting children's holistic development encouraging each pupil to progress independently.

Requirements:


  • Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant background/qualifications.
  • Level 1, or higher, safeguarding certificate (This training can be provided)
  • Relevant references dated within the past 2 years.


  • Valid Photo ID

  • Driving Licence or passport
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (This can be processed for you)
The team within the school are very supportive and will help you along the way. The staff in the school aim to give the best possible educational experience for their students. This job opportunity is very rewarding for people who have teaching assistant experience.

A new enhanced DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service.
