Reed Accountancy & Finance are working with a reputable business within the Motor industry based on the outskirts of Belfast, and have a permanent opportunity for an Accounting Technician/ Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.

The Role
The role of the Assistant Accountant will be to assist with forecasts, budgets and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.

Duties will involve:
Analyses and verification of balance sheets, regularly monitoring and investigating discrepancies
Analyses of accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of reports
Processing and maintaining accounts and ledgers
Setting up accounts, posting routine budget, revenue, expense and correcting entries
Regularly monitoring and checking bank statements
Completing quarterly VAT returns and liaising with external agencies where needed
Conducting credit checks on individuals and organisations when required
Preparing revenue and expense projections and financial reports
Monitoring the overall level of debtors and liaising with department managers to ensure this is kept to a minimum
