_Eastwood Care Home offers residential care to 37 residents and offers the perfect combination of care and independence.

We are currently recruiting a Care Assistant to work day shifts, 4 on 4 off Rolling Rota, shifts are: 6am-2pm and 2pm -10pm. NO SPONSORSHIP

Principal Responsibilities

Be familiar with and work in accordance with the homes policies and procedures.
Assist residents in a manner to promote independence and involvement, respect resident's rights, choices and beliefs, and achieves positive outcomes. To ensure care is provided in accordance with the resident's care plan.
Report any changes in a resident's condition to the Manager/Senior Care Assistant.
Respond to requests from residents either by staff alert or other means of communication in a positive, polite and helpful manner.
Maintain confidentiality.
Accept duties as delegated provided these are within the scope of the individual.
Contribute to the development of the home by attendance at staff meetings and involvement in team discussion.
Attend training sessions and adopt a positive attitude to selfdevelopment. Complete the training programme which is drawn up annually.
To undertake other duties which may be required and which are applicable to the post.

Experience required

We would require a minimum of 1 year experience in similar role, preferably with NVQ/QCF level 2 in Health and Social Care.
