    Job Description

    About Sillion

Sillion is a young consultancy specialising in sustainability strategy and communication. We help our clients explore where the world is heading, the roles they can play, and how to embed sustainability in how they think and operate. We have a broad portfolio of clients ranging from SMEs to the FTSE100 in the UK, and clients across Europe and Asia.⠀

    The opportunity

This role sits at the heart of the Sillion team, supporting the Head of People & Operations, tackling the challenges of a fast-growing department and business, and supporting the continuous identification of operational improvements as we scale.

The responsibilities of the role will offer you the chance to gain experience of, and manage, a broad range of operational functions and duties. This role would suit someone who enjoys getting their teeth into new challenges regularly. You'll be given plenty of exposure and autonomy from day one - if you are hungry to learn and develop, and own core processes, you will receive the growth, guidance and freedom to do so.

    The role

Working closely with and reporting to the Head of People & Operations, you will support them across all operations functions and elements; systems and processes, change management, HR, talent acquisition, people management, IT, and finance.

This will include, but is not limited to:

    • Designing, implementing and managing new systems and processes. Making sure these are well documented, shared and understood by the wider team
    • Researching and supporting large strategic and operational projects such as infrastructure changes, systems development, change management, and policy design
    • Managing HR systems and processes, maintaining compliance and high levels of best practice
    • Monitoring all employee life-cycle events: recruitment, onboarding, training, appraisals etc.
    • Organising moments of delight and internal events e.g. birthdays, annual socials, strategy away days
    • Owning and managing ad hoc operations projects

    Your experience

    • 6 years' experience working in an administrative function, with 3 of those being in an operations or HR role
    • A high level of proficiency in MS Office 365
    • Highly organised with a high work rate, able to thrive in a busy environment, juggling multiple competing priorities and responsibilities
    • Have a high level of attention to detail and confidence to challenge potential errors
    • Flexibility. This is essential, in terms of the need to switch activities to meet team members' needs
    • Ability to work autonomously and as a key team player
    • Able to utilise a confident communication style to manage stakeholder expectations
    • Ability to handle sensitive information in a professional and confidential manner
    • Ability to pick up new software and tools with ease
    • Energised by working in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be curious and seek to learn and improve whilst instilling solutions wherever appropriate
    • A proactive, approachable, and friendly manner
    • A genuine interest in the environment, and sustainability would be ideal

    Why work for us?

    • Competitive salaries DOE - we want to match your experience with the correct salary
