Description

South London - Brixton / Oval

Fixed Term contract - 9 months

  • Help us deliver high quality repairs, maintenance, and improvements across our communities._

About Us

Established over 25 years ago, Cowley Resident Management Organisation runs a mixed tenure estate of 560 properties in South London.

We are a thriving and culturally diverse community that encourages resident participation and helps staff and residents to work together to make Cowley a better place to live.

It's a friendly place to work - with a committed team who enjoy seeing the difference they can make to people living in a local community, including vulnerable and older residents.

About the role

In this role you will assist in the operational activities that relate contract management, repairs, and maintenance to ensure we deliver cost-effective quality improvements across our housing stock and communities.

That will include monitoring the works we undertake and liaising with residents to check their satisfaction levels.

You will be the first point of contact for any tenant and leaseholder queries relating to these works and liaise with internal staff and contractors to resolve any issues.

About you

You will need to have some practical experience of working in a housing environment or the construction industry, preferably working on housing related projects with residents in occupation.

Tact and diplomacy will be important, as you will be carrying out site inspections of occupied premises.

Your technical knowledge needs to be sufficient to enable you to offer solutions when appropriate and understand the technical instructions given to the internal teams.

You will also need good literacy and IT skills, including Northgate, Excel and Word, and able to work flexibly and positively in a team environment.

Please quote QMO on all correspondence.
