- Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on heavy goods vehicles (HGVs)
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HGVs
- Conduct regular maintenance and servicing of HGVs
- Use hand tools and specialized equipment to repair, weld, fabricate, dig, assemble, and maintain HGVs
- Inspect and test HGVs to ensure they meet safety standards
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on HGVs
- Operate a forklift to move and transport HGV parts
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems in HGVs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required
- Proficient in using hand tools for repairs and maintenance
- Welding and fabrication skills are a required
- Familiarity with soldering techniques is advantageous
- Excellent problemsolving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Driving Licence (essential)
