- Deliver practical research for a range of agricultural and horticultural crops, working predominantly in the discipline of pathology, but also contributing to physiology, entomology, soils and nutrients, and weeds.
- Develop specialist technical expertise to deliver on-site trial work and implement applied research and knowledge exchange.
- Delivery of field/glasshouse/polytunnel/laboratory work and liaise with clients and colleagues to ensure on time delivery.
- Work towards managing projects ensuring key objectives and deadlines, are met, ensuring high levels of scientific credibility and client satisfaction are achieved

This mixed practical hands-on role, working both outside and in the office, will be based out of multiple locations, Rosemaund office in Herefordshire, ADAS Boxworth, Cambridgeshire, ADAS High Mowthorpe, North Yorkshire, ADAS Llanfan, Ceredigion and ADAS Exeter (work across Devon).

We have vacancies for a number of Field Research Scientists, looking to gain practical knowledge and experience in a research environment. Contracts will be for a period of 5-6 months , preferably commencing in March/April 2024 , with potential opportunities of full time employment thereafter. You will be working as a member of the team responsible for setting up and undertaking field and plot experiments as part of the ADAS R&D agricultural and agri-environmental programs.
