North Tyneside Community Treatment Team are please to advertise a highly coveted post as a clinical support assistant within our East team (covering North Shields and Whitley bay) The area that we cover a is a thriving place filled with natural beauty, breath taking coast lines, historical sites and popular eateries.


The team consists of a well-established mix of professionals that work collaboratively to deliver individualised care and you can be part of this very supportive team.

We pride ourselves on staff development and maintaining wellbeing.


The role involves supporting the clinical members of the team to deliver evidence based treatment and to engage in collaborative working across the multi-agency team.

We are happy to support staff experienced in a community setting and/or staff from inpatient settings who are looking for a change in their career/role?

You will work closely alongside other clinicians and be provided regular supervision and training to support your role.


To assist in the delivery of care to service users who have a variety of needs, diverse presentations and a range of mental health conditions, cognitive and/or learning disabilities under the direction of a registered practitioner.

The overall responsibility for the service user remains, at all times with the registered practitioner.


To implement and evaluate care within a prescribed framework as a member of the care team ensuring that high quality, individualised care is delivered and that this promotes recovery and wellbeing and maximises independence.

To support the team in providing excellent and effective person centred care.

To provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.

To actively engage with supervision and appraisal process as identified in Trust policy.
