Pay Rate:
£550 - £700 (DOE) per day Via umbrella inside IR35
Role responsibilities
- Direct the technical project teams in the build, testing and implementation of highquality products within committed timeframes and budget.
- Coordinate both with internal technology teams and external vendors where applicable across all delivery activities to ensure the right personnel are engaged on the right build components at the right time, with clear expectations of scope, milestones andgoals.
- Plan, control, track and report technology project status.
- Ensure that project issues and risks are accurately logged, tracked, resolved and escalated appropriately.
- Manage technical project dependencies within or across other portfolios or platforms.
- Be the escalation point for all development and build issues specific to projects
- Ensure complete understanding of the Development Estimate and project scope
- Participate as required in project steering committee and governance meeting.
- Create and execute development plans.
- Liaise between Technology staff and Change Managers and act as the main contact for technical project delivery
- Manage the Technology risks throughout the project.
- Facilitate and chair regular status meetings with the technology teams
- Deliver engaging, informative, wellorganized presentations around the project
- Work both within technology and business teams to improve process and quality of delivery.
- Keep track of lessons learned and share both with team members and across the department.
- Comply with and actively support standard policies, processes and procedures.
Skills and Attributes
- Formal training in Project Management, such as APM, PMI, PMP, PRINCE
- Experience in one of the following Waterfall, Agile, Six Sigma [DMAIC]
- Has core Project Management skills and proven track record in technical project management including Estimating, Scope Management, Project Planning, Budget Management, Time Management, Risk Management, Change Management, Issue/Conflict Resolution, CommunicationManagement, Quality Management, Team Management, Anticipating and building contingency plans.
- Experience of various SDLC methodologies, particularly Waterfall, Agile and Six Sigma.
- Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills as well as effective Relationship Management. Able to interact professionally with a diverse group at all levels
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proactive, adaptable and results driven.
- Strong negotiation skills and able to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism. Can communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
- Strong team player both internally and across multiple teams within a project.
- Can successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously, juggle multiple projects, and use own initiative to meet deadlines and set priorities without close supervision.
