BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT OFFICER

Permanent Contract - to start ASAP

Monday to Friday 8.15 a.m. to 3.15 p.m. - 30 hours 50 minutes a week

To include an unpaid lunch and break

Dorset Grade 7 SCP £12.80 to £14.17 per hour**
Term time only plus 5 Staff Training Days


We require a Behaviour Support Officer to work with our excellent Inclusion team supporting specific students with behaviour and overcoming behavioural barriers, both in class and in a 1:1 situation.

- *
  • Relate well to teenagers
  • Have a clear understanding of behaviour triggers and needs
  • Be dedicated to ensure the students' needs are met
  • Be a positive role model in and out of school to all students
  • Model calm, confident and positive behaviour in school
  • Be understanding of students' additional educational needs
  • Have GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English A*C/94 (essential requirement)
  • Be advised this can be a physically demanding role

The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements.

The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert.

The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.


This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process.
