Remuneration: £35,000 - £45,000

The role of the Design Technician – Timber Frame & Roof Truss will involve:

·Design Technician position dealing with a range of timber frame and roof truss projects for main contractors and house builders

·Produce and manage design programmes in line with client requirements

·Work closely with the estimating team to contribute technical knowledge and value engineering at tender stage

·Liaise with Production Manager to ensure all manufacturing information is correct and in line with requirements

·Working within a team of 4 Design Technicians

·Build and develop client relationships throughout projects

·Liaise with client design teams and external consultants in relation to live projects

·Liaise with site team to resolve queries

The ideal applicant will be a Design Technician – Timber Frame & Roof Truss industry with:

·Must have design experience within the timber frame, timber structures, timber construction or roof trusses market sector

·May potentially consider strong design experience within the wider construction industry (5 years+)

·Must be a proficient user of AutoCAD

·Ability to read and understand technical drawings

·Highly organised with good attention to detail

·Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

·Computer literate (Microsoft Office)

·Ability to work in a fast paced environment
