Description
Are you a caring and enthusiastic individual who can provide care for our students? If so, Didsbury High School has the perfect opportunity for you.
You will provide targeted intervention and support to students who struggle to manage their behaviour and/or approach to learning in class, and work collaboratively with pastoral teams across the school to meet the needs of these students.
This means you will mainly work when the school is open to students and will not need to work during the school holidays, unless the contract requires you to do so.
In total you will be in work for 37 out of 52 weeks.About Us
Didsbury High Schoolis the most oversubscribed first preference school in Manchester. We are a non-selective, non-denominational school, which opened in September 2019. Our students have access to state-of-the-art facilities in a brand-new building behind Didsbury Point.
We currently have students in Years 7 to 10 and will be opening our brand-new sixth form in September 2023.
Job Purpose _

- Support identified students within the classroom environment, within small group situations and on a one to one basis
- Work with teachers to enhance student progress, whilst also promoting their independence, selfesteem and social inclusion
We are seeking individuals who are able to demonstrate our core behaviourswhich set out the expectations we have of our staff.
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience of working with young people who are vulnerable and/or who have special educational needs is essential
- Sound educational background including GCSE's in Maths and English (A*C) or equivalent
- Relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent would be highly advantageous
