    Job Responsibilities:

    Understand the process and work with the team to standardise the process wherever possible.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process and product improvement initiatives.

    Perform feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and generate reports on process performance.

    Identify, design and implement process improvements to boost productivity and enhance quality, while maintaining safety standards. Maintain records of process designs and modifications.

    Develop and manage project plans covering timelines, budgets and resources, ensuring efficient & effective project execution. Report on project progress to stakeholders.

    Apply Lean principles and continuous improvement techniques to drive operational excellence.

    Ensure manufacturing processes comply with current safety regulations and industry standards.

    Conduct Process Hazard Reviews.

    Required Skills & Experience:

    Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant disciplines.

    Minimum 5+ years of experience in process engineering within manufacturing environments in biotechnology-based chemical, biofuel, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, beverage, and/or feed industries.

    Proven expertise in successfully managing and delivering small to medium projects on time and within budget.

    Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, process equipment and automation systems.

    Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

    Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.

    Excellent interpersonal skills for gaining support and buy-in of internal/external stakeholders, vendors, service providers, and other contacts; ability to promote collaboration and foster a sense of teamwork and cooperation.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Proficient in Microsoft Office.

    Desired skills and experience:

    Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant discipline

    Chartered Engineer, or at the application stage

    Project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 would be advantageous

    What We Offer:

    Salary to £48k-£60k dependent on experience
