Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in the delivery of lessons, providing support to students on an individual or group basis.
  • Resource Management: Prepare and organise educational materials, ensuring a conducive learning environment.
  • Student Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere to encourage student participation and engagement in the learning process.
  • Behaviour Management: Support the implementation of behaviour management strategies to create a respectful and positive learning environment.
  • Individualised Support: Work with students who require additional assistance, adapting teaching methods to meet their individual needs.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with teachers, parents, and other staff members to ensure a collaborative and supportive educational experience.
  • Supervision: Assist with the supervision of students during breaks, outings, and other activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum and educational policies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.

Personal Attributes:

Specific Requirements:

  • Must be able to work full school hours e.g.
