Description

The role of the Design Co-ordinator is to co-ordinate the wider team in the generation of profitable tenders for authorisation and submission, in order to maximise the order pipeline and its conversion into market share, revenue and operating profit within the business unit.

In addition, you will co-ordinate in managing the process of designing the solution(s) for the project to meet or exceed customers' requirements.


  • Key Accountabilities:
  • You will:
  • Build effective working relationships throughout the business, up to and including Director level.
  • Develop relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Promote a culture of inclusive customer service and equal opportunities, to exemplify and promote Galliford Try.
  • Supervise the work of the assistant design coordinator.
  • Implement and comply with Galliford Try's SHE policy and procedures, all legal requirements, and best practice within the business unit and areas.
  • Support the achievement of the annual financial budget (operating profit) for the business unit.
  • Coordinate the team to manage the process of designing solutions.
  • Assist the Design Manager to propose resources for projects.
  • Assist the Design Manager to implement functional policies.
  • Assist the Design Manager to support the generation of tenders.
  • Support the winning of contracts while minimising risk and maximising gross profit.
  • Manage the design process for tender, as directed. Assist the Design Manager to propose the design solution for tenders.
  • Assist the Design Manager to conduct value engineering.
  • Implement Galliford Try's policies and procedures.
  • Requirements Technical / Professional Qualifications Required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be positive, enthusiastic and personable a team player.
  • Be proactive, organised and professional.
  • Willingness to travel and ability to manage own time.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
