    What you'll do

    We are looking for a Pursuit Lead to drive growth within Vodafone Business Security Enhanced within our Defence Sector. The role will involve working on major programmes where we will building innovative solutions to deliver customer outcomes. This highly diverse and rewarding role will see you join a highly successful, collaborative team that are driving continued growth.

    The Pursuit Lead will be working with the client at C level to commit to a significant multi-year engagement by having a comprehensive competitive sales strategy. The Pursuit Lead will need the ability to plan and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and organisational goals.


    • Utilise existing network to build on and maintain key C-level relationships.

    • Develop strategic opportunity from initial qualification to contract signature.

    • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, requirements and expectations, and lead interactions around delivery, operations, sales and events.

    • Engage early in the sales cycle to be able to influence strategy and effectively position yourself to create the opportunity to differentiate.

    • Lead and master the internal stakeholder buy-in and the approval processes for large deals.

    • Keep ahead of industry trends and client needs to anticipate and address potential challenges in pursuit activities.

    • Provide leadership in driving diverse teams to deliver the sales strategy.

    • Conduct competitor analysis to inform the sales strategy and differentiate offerings.

    • A strong business leader with a demonstrable successful track record of complex selling into the Defence sector and meeting sales targets.

    • Ability to balance flair and innovation with the commercial imperative.

    • Resilient and credible leadership abilities, leading across multiple functions and fostering collaboration and accountability and managing matrix teams.

    • Strong executive presence, relationship development and ongoing management, both internally and externally.

    • Strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends and competitor landscapes.

    • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills; with the ability to manage complex & multi-dimensional initiatives.

    • Industry knowledge as well as an interest in new avenues of growth, sustainability and public policies.

    This position requires the ability to obtain and hold UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
