Data Scientist

West London, UK (3/4 days per week in office)

Up to £75,000

My Client is a Major UK travel giant hiring for a Data Scientist to join their well-established Data Science function, spearheading a range of commercially applicable Machine Learning projects As a Data Scientist, you will be part of a small team of Data Scientists working on a range of ML projects, solving commercial challenges through a variety of Machine Learning techniques. Your responsibilities as a Data Scientist will include but not be limited to:

• Solve operational challenges & problems through a variety of Machine Learning techniques.
• Create models and products to tackle significant business challenges.
• Generate new metrics, reports, and dashboards using historical data, real-time data, and predictive analytics to facilitate informed business decision-making.
• Gather data from diverse sources to generate insights that can be used as inputs for digital tools

A successful Data Scientist will have the following:

• Min. 2 years commercial experience as a Data Scientist
• Strong experience building models
• Strong exposure solving operational and commercial challenges through Data Science & Machine Learning.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Preferably background in operations/ operational research and solving challenges in operations.
• Excellent use of python and SQL
• Minimum of BSc in STEM subject or Operational Research
