Directorate of Technology, Estates & Facilities - (IT Services, Desktop Print and Support Services, Customer Engagement):

The Directorate of Technology, Estates and Facilities [DTEF] is responsible for 'providing outstanding work, study, research facilities, and facilities to enhance the student experience, on campus and online'.

This role is part of the Desktop, Print and Support Services (DPS) within IT Services.


Role:


As a project coordinator you will support project managers and team leaders in DPS ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired outcomes.

You will provide central coordination of project-related activities and engage project stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and new or improved services are delivered to schedule.

DPS are leading on the delivery of a number of high priority service improvement projects, including:

  • The Managed Device Programme, a multi-year project that will ensure all University staff have access to a secure IT Services managed computer
  • Expansion of the Endtoend Service: hardware lifecycle/replacement service
  • IT Service Catalogue


You will predominantly support the delivery of the Managed Device Programme, however, you may be asked to support and coordinate aspects of other key projects.


Skills, Experience & Qualification needed:


  • Level 3 qualification. (Qualifications at this level include A levels. Please view the full list). We also welcome applicants with equivalent nonuk qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills, including demonstrable planning, prioritisation and time management skills
  • Able to work as part of a team but also independently
  • Flexible approach to changing or challenging circumstances
  • Ability to prioritise work where there are conflicting deadlines and demands whilst ensuring an excellent service level
  • Evidence of upholding our behaviours as specified in the job description
