The Improvement and Innovation Team drive improvement in the Trust by supporting, enthusing and coaching our colleagues throughout the organisation.


As an experienced change manager, this role involves working with stakeholders to deliver our ambitious transformation strategy and Trust priorities.

The post holder will champion innovation and be an ambassador for high quality, impactful change.

Bringing quality improvement and programme management expertise, alongside technical insight, the post holder will lead delivery of programmes and projects on time, in budget and in line with quality specifications to deliver measurable and important benefits to our patients and our colleagues.

The post holder will have a proven track record of delivering change within the NHS and provide inspirational line management to more junior members of the team, continuously developing their skills and creating opportunities to develop.

The Trust is excited to be implementing a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR), commencing later in 2024.

The role will also require close working with the EPR Delivery Team, supporting Trust wide staff & patient engagement and alignment of transformational process redesign with digital innovation.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide expert advice on improvement and transformation methodologies to all staff across the Trust as necessary. This will include senior management and clinical leaders.
  • As an Improvement Leader, support staff to implement change effectively.
  • Train, mentor and coach staff on improvement methodologies and principles of continuous improvement across the Trust. This will involve working directly with clinical and service directors and other directorate staff.
  • Ensure effective programme and project management methodologies are employed across the Trust's transformation programmes to ensure clarity of vision, aims, accountability and timelines.
  • Be an expert on how to use data when measuring for improvement.
  • Review complex datasets to provide benchmarking and baselining information.
  • Promote and support the creation and implementation of Trust improvement and transformation tools.
  • Promote patientfocused improvement and coproduction methods.
