We are currently seeking a Category Manager to join our Derbyshire-based client on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have experience delivering a stakeholder-focused process to secure significant savings across indirect and GNFR categories managing a spend of up to £17m.

Day to Day activities:

• Manage Facilities Management category for two of the client's sites
• Proactively work with suppliers to build longstanding commercial relationships
• Work with suppliers to ensure quality of service via implementing excellent contract management processes
• Run end-to-end process for new tenders from PQQ to award
• Liaise with internal stakeholder to champion best practise for procurement

Essential Skills:

• Indirect Category Management
• Proven experience managing suppliers including contract resolutions
• Excellent understanding of contracts (reviewing and drafting)

Beneficial Skills:

• CIPS qualified (or willing to complete CIPs paid for by the client)
• Experience working in a highly regulated safety-critical industry

Package:

• Salary up to £50,000
