    NIGHTSHIFT HGV TECHNICIAN

    We have openings for Nightshift HGV Technicians at our dealership in Leeds with the following benefits:

    Applicants for the Nightshift HGV Technician position should meet these criteria:

    • Previous experience as a Technician / Mechanic in the HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car, or related industry
    • Opportunity for Light Commercial or Car Mechanics to transition to HGV Technician through provided training
    • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or training program is preferred
    • Hold a Level 3 qualification (C&G, NVQ, or similar) in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
    • Proficient in technical aspects ensuring adherence to manufacturer's repair protocols
    • Strong diagnostic abilities for fault identification
    • Conduct safety inspections and ready vehicles for MOT testing
    • Capable of responding to breakdown situations
    • Adherence to company procedures for accurate completion of documentation and records
    • Basic computer skills are advantageous
    • Possession of a full UK driving license

    Shift Pattern:

    • Work schedule is Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday

    Key Responsibilities of the HGV Technician:

    Undertaking maintenance and servicing of a diverse range of Trucks and Vehicles, including safety checks, preparing for MOT tests, diagnostics, and ensuring repairs are conducted safely and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines. Additionally, road testing vehicles as needed (subject to license limitations).
