    Job Title: Assistant Purchase Ledger Manager

    Reporting to: Finance Manager

    Location: Derby

    Job Type: Permanent, full time - Hybrid

    Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

    Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 - Dependent on experience

    Overview:

    A great leadership opportunity has presented itself for an ambition individual to join a well-established conglomerate. Leading a team of purchase ledger assistants, the individual will be self-motivated, and target driven towards providing a more holistic view of the department in order assist management and co-ordination of all processes. Supporting the full purchase ledger process, the successful candidate will show clear previous experience in process management in a similar role. Offering a salary up to £40,000 this is the perfect opportunity to consider.

    Duties:

    • Ability to set up and execute a rolling 3-year plan for the department in conjunction with the Finance Manager
    • Ability to deliver annual team targets and objectives in line with KPI's and strategy through regular ledger reviews utilising direct reports
    • Ensuring compliance with corporate polices, PL policies, SOX principles and procedures within the department function
    • Delegation of tasks throughout the team to achieve objectives
    • Utilising team boards and regular team meetings to communicate updates
    • Creation and distribution of KPI reports to business partners and stakeholders
    • Ensuring all invoices are correctly processed in line with procedures in a timely manner
    • Maintain and reconcile the purchase ledger GRNI register
    • Process the full expense claims cycle from company associates within region
    • Support any wider finance projects such as acquisitions related to the accounts payable function

    Person Specification:

    • Previous experience in a Purchase ledger lead role
    • Good people management skills within a medium sized team
    • Ability to use own initiative and enthusiastic
    • Good communication skills
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Good mathematical and analytical mindset
    • Able to interpret data
