    The Job

    This is a full-time hybrid role for a Data Processing Programmer. The Data Processing Programmer will be responsible for the production of tabulations & databases along with assisting the project manager to carry out data validation during the soft launch phase of fieldwork. This position requires strong programming skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have experience using Quantum / SPSS and market research, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The role is located in central London, with flexibility for some remote work.

    Responsibilities:

    • Program deliverables using a range of tools including Quantum / SPSS / Askia / Decipher & Q
    • Handling all data processing requirements from start of fieldwork through to final data delivery
    • Consultative approach communicating with project managers, and on occasion directly with the end client, will need to use their experience to advise on the best course of action to fulfil requirements
    • Build strong relationships with internal teams and clients
    • Manage own workload and prioritise projects to deliver output on time
    • Ensure that client expectations are met and exceeded
    • Adhere and understand data protection guidelines and the MRS code of conduct
    • Actively look for improvement opportunities

    Candidate Requirements:

    • High level of experience using Quantum
    • SPSS experience for data manipulation
    • Experience of Unix operating system
    • Good knowledge of Excel, PPT, Word and Outlook.
    • Decipher experience or similar survey programming platform useful, but not essential
    • Good organisation with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Self-motivated, able to identify and solve problems as well as meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work
    • Inquisitive and collaborative
    • Time-management skills in order to be able prioritise and manage daily workload
