Engineering @365 is working with a renowned manufacturer of heavy plant machinery, specialising in the design, production, and maintenance of robust machinery for the construction, mining, and agricultural industries.

Job Description:
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining heavy plant machinery.

You will work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure that all machinery is built and maintained to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, install, and maintain heavy plant machinery.
• Read, understand and work from Engineering drawings.
• Perform equipment modifications and upgrades as required to meet client specifications or improve performance.
• Work collaboratively with the engineering team to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a mechanical fitter, preferably within the heavy plant machinery industry.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools relevant to mechanical fitting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
