- Assisting GPs with minor surgery and coil clinics.
- Requesting pathology tests.

- Keeping accurate records and managing stock of vaccines and other equipment.
- Maintaining adequate stock of vaccines, equipment, drugs, dressing etc.
- Continuing nurse education and developing skills and qualifications.
- A relevant nursing degree.
- Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
- Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course (General Practice Nurse Foundation Programme) or equivalent experience or qualifications.
- Experience in managing long term conditions such as diabetes, asthma and COPD, wound care and dressings, ear syringing, cervical smears, contraceptive advice, travel vaccinations and child immunisations.
- Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work. The successful candidate will value the dignity of our patients, their relatives and carers, as well as their colleagues at the practice.
- Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.
- Experience of EMIS Web is desirable.
