UTEC are looking to hire an ROV Systems Lead on a full time, permanent basis.

The ROV Systems Lead will form a part of the USV team and will primarily be responsible for the integration and operation of the Seatronics VALOR ROV and all its associated systems on the USV.

Based at their facility in Aberdeen, the ROV Systems Lead will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing USV-borne submersible machines, using the submersibles to safely inspect underwater structures and equipment from the surface.

Duties

Assist in the Launch and Recovery of the ROV System
Ensuring that the ROV and all its systems are in complete working order and in compliance with all technical requirements
Carrying out the dive in accordance with recognized operating procedures in order to carry out designated work safely and efficiently.
Undertake navigation and observers' duties and operating of manipulators and ancillary equipment fitted to the ROV.
To be satisfied that prior to any dive the submersible that all pre dive checks have been completed.
On completion of the dive to immediately inform the Senior UTEC Site Representative of any faults or deficiencies encountered during the period of the dive.
To ensure that the dive log is completed in full for the dive undertaken.
Undertake maintenance and repair of the ROV System under the supervision of the Submersible Technician

Requirements:

Must be knowledgeable and experienced with the ROV control, navigational and propulsion systems.
Relevant/Related apprenticeship/training.
Relevant industry experience or military/academic experience in related discipline.
Extensive Offshore experience with experience of inspection class ROVs.
Relevant competence and experience as ROV Supervisor.
