    Description

    Based at our Leeds Head Office and reporting to the Managing Director, you will hold day to day responsibility for the Commercial Management function across term and project works.

    As the senior commercial lead, you will oversee the progress and development of your team, negotiating and overseeing contracts, whilst dealing with all commercial matters affecting performance.

    Manage competing workloads, ensuring priorities are met spanning all projects / Contracts within your region.


    • Support the forward planning cycle maintaining a consistent return against client approvals, upfront cost estimates and tenders.
    • Ensure the timely completion of monthly payment applications and final accounts.
    • Represent the company across a variety of on and off-site client meetings including progress reviews, pre-commencement meetings, tender negotiations, and final account settlements.
    • Ensure weekly sales values are administered through agreed processes and that they remain reflective of works completed in the period.
    • Set and oversee project / Contract budgets, review weekly cost and sales reports, taking the lead with cross-functional teams (surveying, planning, operations, finance, and procurement) as necessary to enhance performance.
    • Represent the company in day-to-day dealings with clients and customers, strategically expanding, preserving, and improving the company image, procedures, standards, and policies.

    In conjunction with your operational colleagues (Operations Manager's) you also hold responsibility for the production and presentation of monthly sales forecasts to the board of directors, reporting actual performance against each project / Contract within your region whilst demonstrating an ability to implement and deliver profit improvement plans.

    Experience in a similar role on projects for clients operating as a main contractor within the public sector.


    • Strong analytical skills demonstrated through a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
    • A full appreciation of key contract terms including JCT and NEC Forms of Contract
    • A clean full driving licence
    Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management


    • Knowledge of passive fire protection and installation works
    • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
    • Commercial aware and financially astute
    • Competitive salary dependent on experience.
    • Holidays 33 days holiday per annum (including 8 statutory holiday days).
    • Hours of work 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30 on Fridays
