This is an exciting role where you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of property and conveyancing matters for Red Kite and its subsidiaries.

Your unrivalled administrative skills will ensure that the external professional firms you instruct, such as solicitors and valuers, complete transactions for us in the timescales required for us to deliver our corporate plan.

What we need you to do

  • Case manage the transfer of property assets within our Group structure in line with the Corporate Journey
  • Instruct external firms of solicitors to carry out legal work on our behalf
  • Instruct valuers where required so we obtain optimal value for our assets
  • Manage contractual arrangements with utility providers for substations on our land including the grant of new leases, prompt renewal at the end of their term and timely rent reviews
  • Work with solicitors to consider appropriate overage clauses which will protect our future land interests
  • Carry out searches on title in relation to development projects and appraisals
  • Provide internal advice on development agreements, joint ventures, section 106 agreements and other growth opportunities
  • Administer statutory and voluntary requests for a residential lease extension
  • Case manage the surrender and regrant of equity share leases at our portfolio of leasehold scheme for the elderly homes
  • Case manage residential lease variations required by the Red Kite Group or requested by leaseholders
  • Respond to Part Wall Notices received working closely with the Property Pod on technical matters
  • Respond to requisition requests received from the Land Registry
  • Liaise with the local authority to remove open space restrictions on the title where required
  • Assist other teams with the transfer of land in accordance with our disposals policy
  • Assist other teams in the management of shared ownership and market sale

  • Work alongside colleagues to resolve cases of encroachment on our land
What you will be responsible for

  • Ensuring that the professional firms you instruct, such as solicitors and valuers, provide their services to our expected timescales
  • Coordinating internal teams to ensure the intra Group asset transfer period is minimised
  • Arranging for all transactions to be signed and sealed in accordance with our Governance Regulations
  • Ensuring our assets and boundaries are recorded accurately at the Land Registry and on our GIS system
  • Developing and implementing procedures relevant to the tasks carried out by the Legal Assistant
  • Maintaining comprehensive and auditable records for all transactions being case managed
  • Developing and updating case tracking systems to enable timely and accurate data reporting
  • Preparing performance and budget reports for meetings such as those of the Operations Hub, Senior Leadership Team and Board
Where have you come from

  • You will be a UK qualified Legal Executive, Professional Paralegal Practitioner or Solicitor with a property background gained in private practice or in a public sector body
