Manufacturing ManagerThey are currently looking for a Manufacturing Manager to manage the team, implementing best practice, continuous improvement and modern manufacturing practices.
Manufacturing Manager Roles and Responsibilities:Manage the team's daily tasks, establish standard policies and procedures.
Empower Shift Supervisors to execute the production plan efficiently, guiding them in running their teams, completing work orders, and balance product lines
LEAN Manufacturing
Understand how Safety Stocks are calculated and work with the BU Leader to update these monthly – ensuring the right balance is found between customer service and inventory optimization
Support continuous development, trouble shooting, attending meetings and writing reports as needed
Manage, coach and develop a high performing manufacturing team ensuring adequate staffing levels, managing holiday allowances, recruitment, training, development, appraisal, attendance, disciplinary issues and daily supervision
Understand the challenges posed to Setters, Maintenance Engineers, Operators, Quality and Warehouse staff
Focus on employee development and recognise their individual strengths and weaknesses
The ideal Manufacturing Manager will:
Extensive plant level experience with significant proven supervisory experience
Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Kaizen, lean manufacturing
Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems experience – preferably Sage X3
Negotiable salary depending on experience plus production bonus (around £6k per year) paid monthly
~ Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm days annual leave
