    Are you a recent graduate or looking to start your career in PR/Communications? Babel, a technology PR and integrated communications consultancy headquartered in London, is looking for a Junior Campaign Executive to work as part of their thriving, creative, solutions-led team. The start date is September 2024, however we can accommodate an earlier start date for candidates currently available.

    Responsibilities of a Junior Campaign Executive:

    • Understanding what media and analyst influencers write and report about and what kind of stories will interest them.
    • Developing media and analyst lists.
    • Developing relationships with journalists and analysts who work in the technology sector.
    • Pitching press releases (announcements) to relevant media and analysts, calling journalists as the primary approach.
    • Copywritinga variety of PR and marketing collateral with a keen eye for detail.
    • Drafting short-form and long-form content.
    • Drafting or contributing ideas towards marketing content such as blogs, whitepapers, social media and mailer copy.
    • Developing industry knowledge by reading daily news and flagging relevant stories to campaign teams and clients.
    • Preparing for and contributing to client and internal meetings, demonstrating knowledge and insight.
    • Guiding andadvising clientson a daily basis. Responding to client and team emails in a timely fashion.
    • Daily reporting tasks including coverage monitoring and preparing monthly reports, meeting agendas and actions.
    • Monitoring digital platforms and updating reports.
    • Daily use of campaign tools and software.
    • Research-led tasks including media and analyst list development and industry trends research.
    • Creative campaign ideas development and contributing to client proposals and team brainstorms.
    • Upholding our company culture and values.
    • Working as an integral part of the team alongside everyone from fellow PR consultants to senior managers and other job-related duties as specified by your manager.

    Salary, benefits and career advancement:

    • The joining salary for this entry-level Junior Campaign Executive position is £26,326 + a 5% performance bonus after successful completion of a six-month probationary period.
    • Pension after three months. New joiners are eligible for our bonus scheme after the successful completion of a six-month probationary period. In addition, after your probationary period you are eligible for an interest-free season ticket travel loan, our cycle to work scheme, free eye tests and the influenza vaccine.
    • Other benefits include a duvet day, loyalty days, a paid sabbatical, reduced working hours during the summer, the opportunity to work from abroad and much more
    • New business and recruitment bonuses are also available.
    • Due to our training and development programme being one of the best in the PR industry, promotion from Junior Campaign Executive to Campaign Executive is possible after 9-12 months. The current Campaign Executive salary is £28,000 + bonus.
    • After 12 months experience in the Campaign Executive role, a promotion to Senior Campaign Executive is possible. The current Senior Campaign Executive salary is £32,000 + bonus. Successful promotions are subject to performance.

    Location and office/home working:

    • Our office is located in central London. Local tube stations include Oxford Circus, Great Portland Street, Regents Park, Goodge Street and Warren Street.
    • For the first six weeks new joiners are required to work from the office-based four days a week for training purposes (and one day working from home).
    • After six weeks, new joiners can work three days in the office and two days at home.

    • The next stage is a 15-minute Microsoft Teams video interview in June 2024. A selection of dates/times will be provided. Applicants notified within three working days if they are successful to the next stage.
    • Successful candidates will be invited to Babels Graduate Day in July 2024 at Babels headquarters in central London. Allow 3-4 hours. The day will involve a group research and group presentation exercise and an individual media writing and pitch challenge. Food and beverages will be provided. Approximately 12 candidates will be selected for the Graduate Day. Applicants notified within three working days if they are invited to the final interview stage or not.
    • Successful applicants will be invited for a final interview in London in July 2024 with a manager and a director. This will take up approximately one hour.
