Traffic Engineer
Islington
6-month contract
£28-£32 an hour, umbrella

Key Responsibilities:

  • Islington Council are seeking a Traffic Engineer, who has worked for local authorities and can design using AutoCAD.
  • The role would be to design and deliver small to medium traffic and parking schemes and assist Senior Engineers and Principal Engineers. The Traffic & Engineering Service is currently working on several programmes including Low Traffic Neighbourhoods, busand cycle improvements, and parking improvements.
  • The role is for an initial 6 months, with a working week of 35 hours, inside of IR35 and a rate of £28 £32 per hour, working three days at home and two days in the office based near Caledonian Road tube station.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Qualification in Engineering/Transportation to degree level or equivalent with at least 4 years of successful high quality post qualification experience.
  • An understanding of the principal responsibilities of, and the key issues facing, local government and in particular the legal and professional framework associated with Engineering and Traffic matters.
