Java, Microservices Technical Architect / Team Lead required by our client, a mid-size European Bank, to lead the build of a Fixed Income Risk and Pricing Platform.

Leading a team of 4-5 people currently, this person will take the lead role in defining the heavily Microservices-based architecture of this grid solution and lead the build of the platform and team over the coming years.

Candidates should have worked on similar platforms previously, not necessarily in the specific FI domain, and will help grow the development team to 20+ Engineers.

Business/stakeholder-facing skills and experience are absolutely key for this role. As well the architectural responsibility for ensuring a performant and scalable design, the successful candidate will also be responsible for gathering requirements and liaising with the business across the Front Office (a dedicated Quant resource will handle the deeper Risk and Pricing detail, albeit any Quantitative understanding would obviously be of benefit.

As well as a deep understanding of Microservices as applied to Java development any experience of Python, Javascript, AWS and containerization (Kubernetes) would be valuable.
