A bit about the role... We are a small and newly formed team and having recently implemented a new pay and grading structure, we have an ambitious agenda ahead. Embedding the new structure, processes and procedures while also continuing to develop and enhance our total reward offer,contributing towards Homes England's employee value proposition.


The Reward Manager is accountable for the design, development and delivery of our reward and job evaluation processes ensuring they are fair and robust against external market influences to ensure that we are able to attract and retain talent.


A bit about you You will have experience of designing and implementing Reward processes, ideally within a public sector environment.


We value fairness and transparency in our approach to Reward so we are looking for someone with sound judgement and integrity.

You will be an effective communicator, capable of engaging stakeholders, internal, external and Agency-wide. With responsibility for the governance process you will be also comfortable with challenge.

The nature of Homes England means we operate in an interestingspace in terms of our reward positioning, balancing the need to compete within the private sector against public sector governance and affordability.

You'll have the ability to strike this balance sensitively and to think creatively finding practical solutionswhich are policy compliant.

You'll also have high attention to detail and ability to analyse and data and market trends.


Who are we? We are the Government's national housing agency. Our role is to accelerate the pace of housebuilding across the country, particularly in areas where there are the most serious affordability issues - meaning people are struggling to find homes.


We have the appetite, influence, expertise and resources to drive positive market change and meet the Government's ambition to deliver 300,000 new homes a year.

We are using our land, influence, funds and knowledge to increase the pace, scale and qualityof new homes accelerating delivery in areas of greatest demand and helping create great places to live.

Within the next few years, we will have invested over £27 billion across our programmes.
