    Description

    PART TIME Tax Manager using a hybrid working model split between working at home and a Leeds Head Office, working a 25-28 hour week.

    As Part Time Tax Manager, you'll dive into the world of direct and indirect taxation across a group. Partnering with all stakeholders to give direction in being the 'go-to' tax mastermind.

    The role will looking at everything from corporation tax to share option forms, tax reporting and control frameworks to VAT and looking at areas of tax planning and strategy.

    You will also get the opertunity to partner your tax skills in areas of treasury and hedging although no previous treasury exposure would be necessary Completion and submission of a variety of tax returns.

    Prepare tax accounting workings for annual statutory accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
    Collaborate with the wider business to enhance tax reporting and control framework.

    Be involved with key projects, including new site acquisition ensuring tax compliance both in UK and in overseas jurisdictions.

    Provide training and mentoring to key business units ensuring a clear and concise understanding of tax and the implications of tax on future projects.

    Essentially this role is targeting a qualified tax professional with a thirst for knowledge and a passion for using tax as a wider business tool.

    At this level, it is a given that the part time Tax Manager present using strong communication skills to translate complex tax matters into simple, digestible language not only internally, but also to external stakeholders.

    The ability to work seamlessly with senior colleagues and across the wider business will be key to the success of the part time tax manager.

    You will have a key eye for the detail, with an ability to translate financial data into usable commercial tax solutions.

    With a track record of retaining and promoting their tax team, this indicates the depth and variety of work that can be offered above and beyond that of an external tax role.
