    Science Technician

    Weeks: Term Time only 38 weeks per year

    Salary: £7,289 (actual salary)

    Location : Selby Campus

    We have a fantastic opportunity for a technician to join our friendly and highly successful Sixth Form science team. Our Sixth Form has a strong academic ethos; working towards excellence for our students and helping each individual to achieve their full potential.

    As a Science Technician, you will work as part of an established science department, providing technical support for teaching and learning and assisting the senior technician.

    Day to day this will include preparing materials and equipment for practical work, assisting staff with demonstrations and tidying/cleaning laboratories and ensuring any materials are cleared away after use.

    As a Technician in Science, you should:

  • Have GCSE A*- C / 9 - 4 in Maths, English and Science qualifications or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Procedures
  • Technical ability and an interest in science
