Purpose of Post:

Some of our current projects you will work on are:

  • Making Your Money Go Further Project (in partnership with Rotherfed)
  • Energy Advice Programme
  • Energy Outreach Project
  • More Than Just Food Project
  • Refernet

Main Duties

  • Coordinate and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Ensure both client and partner/funder's needs are met and that the projects are delivered to the required standards.
  • Supervise project delivery staff and ensure that support is provided to all paid and unpaid project staff.
  • To actively seek out opportunities to work with underrepresented groups and minority communities.
  • Build strong partnerships and networks with local organisations in Rotherham and District.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define project scope, goals, and objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Plan consistent, reliable service delivery and resourcing from available staff.
  • Contribute personally to the delivery of all of your projects including the delivery of outreach, advice and energy advice
  • Work in partnership with the Quality Manager to ensure that the quality meets our Citizens Advice Membership Requirements
  • Ensure that appropriate systems are maintained for case recording, statistics, follow up work and quality control.
  • Encourage good teamwork and lines of communication.
  • Work with the Training team to ensure that new project staff are successfully inducted and receive the appropriate training.

Administration

  • Oversee and monitor effective and efficient administrative systems.
  • Provide monthly written reports on all designated projects for the Projects & Service Director.
  • Support the Projects & Services Director and Finance & Resources Director, by keeping an overview of project income and expenditure and ensure that all projects positively contribute to the P&L.
  • Consider health and safety & safeguarding systems when delivering project work
  • Maintain complaints procedures in accordance with Citizens Advice guidelines.

Other Duties

  • Contribute in the delivery of communications such as social media updates and maintaining our website
  • To support and actively participate in stakeholder events and public consultation meetings, exhibitions and conferences in various locations and aimed at different sectors of the population.
  • Assist in ensuring that projects comply with the Citizens Advice Membership Scheme.

General

  • Promote the aims, values, policies, membership requirements and equal opportunities policies of the Citizens Advice service.
  • Carry out any other related tasks as required to ensure effective delivery of designated projects.
  • Abide by health and safety guidelines and share responsibility for your own safety and that of colleagues.

Person Specification

  • Experience of monitoring targets and delivering a project or service and delivering outcomes on time.
  • Experience of staff supervision including motivating a delegating
  • Good knowledge of IT systems such as google, Microsoft and casework systems
  • Ability to think innovatively, diagnose problems and recommend solutions.
  • Experience of working in a high pressure environment, meeting a changing range of demands and ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Experience in promotions and communications including a knowledge of social media input
  • Effective communication skills to facilitate collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
  • Display a positive cando attitude who is a positive and professional team player.
  • Have experience of gathering information and presenting in report format
  • Be willing to travel to multiple locations across Rotherham to deliver your projects and interact with clients and stakeholders
  • Understand, empathise with and be committed to Citizens Advice Aims, Principles and Policies and our Values of Generous, Responsible and Innovative.
Citizens Advice Advisor generalist training is desired but not essential
