Job description:


This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking individual to take on a rewarding role within the Charges Team at RAF Wyton.

As part of a small fast-paced dedicated customer facing team the position of Charges Support Officer is a key role assisting in the financial management and delivery of account receivables.

This is a busy team managing customer expectations along with collaborating with other areas within the Defence Infrastructure Organisation.

The postholder is responsible for initiating invoicing for Civilians and International Personnel through Defence Business Services along with the management of accounts for Irregular Occupants.

The Team works closely with other areas within DIO and the wider MOD to provide support to individuals.

Person specification:


  • The Charges Support Officer will be responsible for the Management of Irregular Occupants, issuing monthly letters and statements.
  • Initiate debtor address traces in accordance with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation's (DIO) business debt recovery plan.
  • Undertake investigation of disputed charges using various IT systems in line with DIO procedures.
  • Carry out regular checks of files and archive in accordance with the departments processes.
  • Initiate invoicing for Civilians, Students, and International Personnel.
  • Maintain accurate Occupant logs and records via excel and sage.
